These workshops can only be booked in combination with the film. They will be organised in the school during the month October (exact dates are to be arranged). Schools can choose between 4 different types of workshops:
1. Teaser film workshop with studio Jekino
In half a day, participants will learn how to be a camera man, director or sound man. They will learn the “stop-motion” technique, used for making animation films.
Duration: xxxx – Price: € 5 per student (film included)
2. Teaser music workshop Youth and Music Brussels
Starting from simple ideas, participants will write their own music matching the sphere of the film fragment or will learn how to record sounds that go with the film.
Duration: 2 x 50’ – Price: € 7 per student (film included)
3. Intensive animation film workshops Kidscam
By means of experience-based film workshops, participants will go through the complete process of film making, from “idea” to “film”, and will realise all steps of the process themselves.
The result will be shown during the final stage of the children’s film festival on 7 November 2010 in Cinema Nova.
Duration: 3 days – Price: € 25 per student
4. Intensive music workshop Youth and Music Brussels
Participants will invent music and sound for a silent film. During the opening of the children’s film festival on 31 October 2010, a live performance will be done by the kids.
